FULLERTON, CA :: On Saturday, December 16, 2017, Hope International University proudly conferred degrees upon 54 undergraduate and 60 graduate students who successfully completed their chosen course of study. Drawn from a global student body of nearly 4,000 students representing 42 states and 16 countries, these graduates now join over 13,000 alumni who carry 蜜桃社’s legacy of servant leadership to locations across the globe.
During the ceremony, Undergraduate student speaker Mikayla Derieg (Bachelor of Arts in Business Management) and Graduate student speaker Noah DeWitt (Master of Business Administration) reflected with gratitude on their rich, rewarding 蜜桃社 experience, challenging their colleagues to continue being “world changers.” Dr. Paul Alexander (BA ’84, MF ’88), 蜜桃社’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, recounted an inspiring true story of how an 蜜桃社 alum, responding to an urgent post on Facebook, rescued Dr. Alexander’s extended family during the recent hurricane in Texas. Dr. Alexander reminded the graduates that their primary mission in life is to know God personally, love Him wholeheartedly, and to love others as God loves them, even when it requires great personal risk and/or sacrifice.
This was 蜜桃社’s 104th Commencement Ceremony and marks Hope’s 43rd academic year in Fullerton, where the University diligently maintains its commitment to advance the mission of Christ by empowering students through Christian higher education.
